The MEYCOR COBIT MG software was developed by DATASEC. Besides including the Maturity Model from COBIT® 4.1 Edition, it includes other functionalities that ease the management of IT resources, such as assessing multiple analysis centers or performing a follow-up for different assessment periods.
This distinguishing feature of MEYCOR COBIT MG is that it does not only allow to perform a diagnosis of the current situation and issue recommendations and projects accordingly, but also allows to perform periodical assessments that can be compared against each other to measure the progress achieved from one period to another. Our company is always open to suggestions or requests made by our clients, including, to the possible extent, their requirements into new versions of the product.
A series of questionnaires included in the software provide an invaluable help in the Maturity Model assessment, helping to determine the organization's current level according to the Maturity Model pre-defined levels. This also allows the software, after a process has been assessed, to issue recommendations on the actions that need to be performed to achieve the desired target level. It is also possible to assign a numerical value to these actions in order to quantify them. In addition to these features, recommendations can also be grouped into projects that ease the management and follow-up of their implementation process.
In short, the MEYCOR COBIT MG software is a product that benefits from all the experience the company has accrued while developing previous products, such as: MEYCOR COBIT CSA, MEYCOR COSO and PLACSI, and automating the implementation of the Management Guidelines from the COBIT® 4.1 Edition.
This software should be used with MEYCOR COBIT DELPHOS which includes the critical Success Factors, Key Goal Indicators and Key Performance Indicators from COBIT’s® Management Guidelines.
In addition to this, the software developers are all specialists in security, quality, effectiveness and efficiency issues, having all being awarded the CISA certificate issued by the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).
